Hello,
My name is Kim Belew. I am a survivor of child sex trafficking. Here’s the thing though. I didn’t even know I was trafficked until about 7 years ago when I was sharing my story of child abuse in a public forum. Once I found out this was what I experienced, I realized if I didn’t know I was trafficked, how many others must carry myths and misconceptions about what human trafficking is, where it happens and more. I’ve since made it my mission and purpose to educate myself and others and help break the myths around this very real global issue. The Grace Project is a visionary project where I share my story through music and movement to help reach a broader audience through the arts. With hopes this will be shared on stages across the country and world. Not only sharing my story, but bringing more awareness to human trafficking. My vision is for a part of the proceeds of every show to go to organizations that directly help victims of human trafficking while also bringing so much awareness that we can also help eradicate human trafficking altogether. I am only one person and yet I believe in the power of coming together collectively to make a change. this campaign is to raise the money needed to get this vision off the ground and onto a stage. We are already moving with this project and now the money raised will make it a reality. Sponsors and donors will be listed on marketing materials and programs and we are currently in process of creating a non profit so your donation can also be a tax write off. Thank you to all who support this project. You are a fundamental part of helping so many. I am so very grateful for this opportunity to share my story and serve a higher purpose of awareness and support of others who can’t yet tell theirs. |
